Orans Rom Grasni — a special 1985 half-Arabian gelding owned by Laura Fryburg who touched so many lives. He was a show horse and companion with a sense of humor and always loved to be the center of attention. He was started by Command Performance as a youngster and then spent his final year and a half with us again where he taught several young riders and reminded us all of the character he was. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memories will always make us smile.
Congratulations are in order to Mark & Laura Fryburg on their on her purchase of triple registered two-year-old gelding Color Me Fameous from Donna Braschler. CP is very fortunate to have other clients who have purchased horses from Donna in the past and gone on to have great success and we know "Waldo" will do the same! We look forward to seeing "Waldo" in the show ring and watch him and owner Laura get to know one another.
Just as the "A" show season comes to an end, the schooling and open show season is heating up! CP horses and riders spent mid-November at Mt. Hood Eq Ctr in Boring, OR working with green and junior horses and/or riders or those in need of tune-up work. Horses from the barn who attended included "Andy" ridden by owners Cindy Bullen and Miranda Rickert, "Blazer" with Miranda Rickert, "Splash" and Trey McCaige, "Newman", Sam Gilliland (special thanks to Sam who also showed "Hope" for Rachel Wigren and did a great job in hunter pleasure), and Vicki McGauley who showed her mare "Chloe" in western pleasure. Tim also had several lesson students join the group including Brianna LaRoy and "Belle" and the Becar sisters with "Casper" & "Smokey". Congrats to everyone on a very successful and fun weekend!
Also, we mourn the loss of beloved pinto pony "Wheels" who died suddenly of an apparent heart attack. "Wheels" was our son, Tanner's, fifth birthday present and in the two years we had him he brought us lots of joy and many happy memories and was a favorite of all who visited CP. You will be missed dear friend.
The Arabians of CP finished the "A" season in Olympia, WA in mid-October at the Pacific Rim show. The show management reported this to be their biggest show to date. It was a very busy weekend for us with Tim making a record number of clothing, horse and tack changes, but no one missed a class and everyone worked hard to help get horses and riders ready. A big thanks goes to one of Tim's students, Sam Gilliland, who came along and helped prepare and warm up horses. We couldn't have done it without her! Youth rider McKenzie Cokley was busy with purebred gelding Damask Son of Gold winning the showmanship and equitation classes and placing well in hunter pleasure. Tim rode the Cokley's half-Arab/DHH gelding, GW Topper, in hunter pleasure as well and was pleased to get around without incident! Barbara Marcinkowski's stallion Akma Dday ended his novice status winning two hunter pleasure classes with Tim and this time even Barbara got in the show ring! Lisa Hubbard also made her "A" show debut showing her stallion SF Shahqwave in hunter pleasure as did Tim who turned in some lovely rides and earned placings in nice classes. Tim also showed sale mare SC Raydeant Hope to reserve champion honors in halter as well as showing purebred gelding OFW Ambush to reserve champion honors in halter and western pleasure. Tim's other purebred western mount was Tami Todd's gelding Aspens Kossack who won a lovely open class. Suzie Smith won blue on her country pleasure gelding Blazing Gold, and Tim showed him in costume earning second in a large and rowdy class! Finally Dorothy Murray did a lovely job showing her junior country pleasure gelding, Wholy Smoke, and Tim won the junior horse class with him. Congratulations to everyone who showed and we look forward to more success and fun in 2008!
The pintos of Team CP wrapped up an amazing 2007 show season the final weekend in October in Boring, OR. There were many Halloween decorations and candy aplenty and great competition! Youth rider Trey McCaige made his pinto show debut on saddle type gelding Splashdown in Color showing in English pleasure and halter. Another youth rider, Sam Gilliland was busy showing English pleasure and halter on Patty Chapman's saddle type mare PF Eds Elegant Lady. Angela Nemjo wrapped up a remarkable year with pleasure type gelding Go Bey Bee Go competing in English pleasure, Ideal, Halter and Driving. The pair have earned so many ROM's and ROE's this year that it's impossible to keep track of them all! More super performances were turned in by Angela Burckhard on saddle type gelding Class Dismissed showing in English pleasure, Western Pleasure, Ideal, Halter and Driving. Finally Tim brought out our filly SC Raydeant Hope and earned several titles in halter as well as getting her some exposure in western pleasure junior horse. Congratulations to everyone on all of their hard work and I know there will be more to come from this dynamic group in 2008!
The CP Pinto team wrapped up the Washington Pinto season with a great show in Spanaway in mid-September. We had some new members join us as well as some returning vetrans. Another newbie was breeding stock half-Arabian gelding Twist and Shout FCF++// who did well in halter, English and western. The veterans also came away big winners including Angela Nemjo's gelding Go Bey Bee Go who has earned countless ROM's and finished at least one or two more at this show. He competed in English and halter though rumor has it there may be more in his future! Also showing was youth Jeff Wallace with his gelding Strikes Cyberspace. The duo were successful in English, Halter and Western. Another youth making us proud was Samantha Gilliland who showed Patty Chapman's mare PF Eds Elegant Lady in English and Halter. Finally, a new student of Tim's, Josie Horath joined us for western with her junior horse "Rico". Congrats to everyone on a great show and even better season and here's to even more success in '08!

Several of Tim's students were also busy during the 4-H and Open fair season. First of all, students Jennifer Backous and Sam Gilliland turned in wonderful rides in the open show and came away with many awards on their horses NF Midnite Comet and New Man On The Block. Then the 4-H students made us proud turning in great rides. We congratulate Andrina Hiemann who earned Champion & Reserve Champion honors on half-Arabian gelding CP Get A Lode A This in green horse then came away with more high scores on Rachel's Twist and Shout FCF++//. Finally for the juniors it was Brooke Henderson and her QH gelding "Tucker" who competed and worked hard. We congratulate everyone who attended!
CP riders had fun in mid-July attending a local open show. Everyone enjoyed helping each other out and cheering one another on. The CP pinto team was back at it in July as well showing in Spanaway. Congratulations on numerous wins to Jeffrey Wallace with Strikes Cyberspace as well as to Angela Burckhard and Class Dismissed. Angela Nemjo was slated to show her Go Bey Bee Go, but a strained muscle kept him out of the show ring. We wish him a speedy recovery!
Team CP spent the week of July 4th in Monroe for the Region 5 Championship show. Although we didn't come home with as many awards as we would have liked, we did turn in some very nice performances and we were proud and supportive of one another. This was the first year that the show was held at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe and boy did we like the change. Our horses all seemed to be comfortable with the stalls and arenas, warm up room was plentiful and horses were allowed access to all parts of the facility. Our big winner for the week was half-Arabian gelding Go Bey Bee Go owned by Angela Nemjo who earned Reserve Champion honors in Country Pl Driving with Tim. Congrats to all! Others who made us proud in the ring (and many also made one or two judges cards) were ABD Night Time Magic owned by Scottie & Kimberly Wright, M S Anteygo Bey owned by Cindy Bullen and shown by daughter Miranda Rickert, AMK Bonito Boy shown and owned by Steve Harding and Twist and Shout FCF++// shown by owner Rachel in amateur, youth Andrina Hiemann and Tim in open.
The following weekend found other CP members at a local schooling show having fun and getting out the novices and new teams. Many riders came away with ribbons and many were blue! More congrats go to Samantha Gilliland who showed Patti Chapman's mare "Ellie" as well as her own horse "Newman", Jordyn O'Connor showing "Pyx", Angela Nemjo schooling "Jake", Lisa Hubbard who was great with "Shahqwave", Andrina Hiemann with "Lodi" and Tim schooling "Ambush" for leasee Laura Fryburg. Once again everyone had a fun time and enjoyed cheering one another on. Way to go Team CP!
June found Tim with three of the CP horses and riders in Tulsa, OK at the Pinto World Show. Returning was saddle type gelding Class Dismissed with owner Angela Burckhard. Joining her were first timers Angela Nemjo with pleasure type gelding Go Bey Bee Go and youth rider Jeffrey Wallace with pleasure type gelding Strikes Cyberspace. The trio made us more than proud turning in beautiful performances and winning rides. It was even more exciting with the addition of a live webcam which allowed those of us left behind to share in our friend's winning moments.
Following is the very impressive list of their accomplishments:
As you can see it was a fun and busy time for the horses and their riders, yet the words coming from most mouths upon their return home was, "...next year...", so no doubt Team CP will ride into Tulsa again in 2008!
Command Performance is pleased to announce the birth of it's newest family member—welcome CP Pretty Woman (WH Alimanor x Lucky Gold Penny). "Julia" was born to Tim's multiple champion mare at 7pm on 4-19-07. Both mom and baby are doing well! Photo was taken at 1 hour old.
Team CP just returned from the Region 5 Sport Horse Championships in Auburn Wa with several ribbons. First, we sent congratulations to Steve Harding & Julie Welsand whose three-year-old purebred stallion, AMK Bonito Boy earned Top 5 honors with Tim on the lead in a very nice in hand class. Tim also showed Barbara Marcinkowski's stallion Akma Dday who missed the ribbons by one placing and turned in a nice show himself. Another horse and rider who made us proud were Royal Scandal and youth rider Miranda Rickert. This was their first year at this level and doing sport horse and although they didn't have the ride they wanted to at Regionals, they earned the right to be there. Most of all, we appreciate the support of our clients in allowing us to present these fine horses.
Congratulations to Scottie & Kimberly Wright of Ione OR on their recent arrivals! First off they welcomed an Arabian filly, Savannah Bey Rose (HW Satin Prince x KF Savandrah) in mid April, then on the same day in early May, they welcomed two colts! First off is a homozygous ASB colt with the pending name Mark of Fame (Claiming All the Fame x Lite My Way to Fame). Finally came a half-Arabian/pinto colt with the pending name Night Time Desperado (ABD Night Time Magic x Striders Air Dancer). These youngsters all have very promising futures and are available to the right home. For more information contact their owner at . It's a great opportunity!

Congratulations to everyone and best of luck to Jeff and the two Angelas in Tulsa!
Mother's Day weekend saw the Arabian contingent of CP busy in Spanaway at the Cascade Youth Benefit Show. Everyone turned in great performances and enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the show. Youth rider, Miranda Rickert, made her western pleasure debut on her mom's new gelding who they purchased two weeks prior! M S Anteygo Bey and Miranda were quite a pair in both equitation and pleasure and it will be exciting to watch them progress. No doubt mom, Cindy Bullen, will soon be out there too! Miranda was also scheduled to show her horse Royal Scandal, but a case of hives kept him in his stall after a great sport horse in hand class with Tim. We hope to see him back out there soon! Barbara Marcinkowski's stallion Akma Dday showed his stuff in the sport horse division under saddle, in hand and by winning a large stallions in hand class shown by Tim. Mom then had some fun riding him around too and we look forward to her showing in the future. Go Bey Bee Go owned by Angela Nemjo continued his winning ways from the pinto show by winning all six of his Country Pleasure classes. SF Shahqwave owned by Tom and Lisa Hubbard competed well in large hunter pleasure classes and turned in some lovely performances with Tim. NF Midnite Comet owned by Jennifer Backous made her "A" show debut in hunter pleasure and got great comments from the judges in sport horse as well as hunter pleasure. Stallion ABD Night Time Magic took blue in his stallion halter class for owners Scottie & Kimberly Wright. Steve Harding & Julie Welsand's stallion AMK Bonito Boy turned in lovely shows in Sport Horse in Hand with Tim and stallion halter with Steve. Amateur rider Suzie Smith made her "A" show debut in a tough western pleasure division with Arabian mare Freskett who she owns jointly with her mom, Judy Skirvin, and daughter Ellie. This was a big step up for Suzie and her progress showed throughout the weekend. We are proud of everyone for their hard work and efforts and send a special thanks as well to Sam Gilliland and Heather Ednie who helped keep things under control back at CP.
Congratulations to Larry and Marilou Cassidy on their purchase of the pretty black QH/fresian mare "Nickers". She'll be used by their granddaughter, Alex, to show as well as for pleasure riding on their ranch.
A trio of CP horses recently attended the Daffodil Arabian Show in Puyallup. It was the first time back out for half-Arabian gelding Twist and Shout FCF++// who competed in western pleasure with amateur, Rachel, in open with Tim and in youth with Andrina Hiemann. It was great to be back out there again! Pretty stallion AKMA Dday also turned in lovely rides for Tim in hunter pleasure and owner Barbara Marcinkowski got some time to ride in between sessions. Finally, stallion AMK Bonito Boy and his amateur owner Steve Harding competed in a nice amateur stallions class and despite a bit of a rocky start they held it together and showed well. We also congratulate "Bonito Boy" on the birth of his first baby — a bay colt with a star and three white socks. I believe the name will be AMK Skywalker. Congrats to all!
April continued busy for Team CP as the pintos headed to Spanaway for their first show of the year. Youth rider Jeffrey Wallace and his pleasure type gelding Strikes Cyberspace made their breed show debut and came away with some nice rides and good placings. Amateur Angela Nemjo and her pleasure type gelding Go Bey Bee Go came away from their first pinto show with lots of wins and smiles and returning amateur Angela Burckhard and saddle type gelding Class Dismissed continued to be tough competitors in English Pleasure among others. Congrats to everyone on their hard work and successes!
Team CP returned from the first "A" show of the year in high spirits and with many awards. Several of our horses and riders were making their debuts and everyone made us proud! Attending the Heritage show in Spanaway is always a good time and this year was no exception. Congratulations to Angela Nemjo and half-Arabian/pinto gelding Go Bey Bee Go on several blues including Country Pl, driving and halter. He was shown by Angela and by Tim. We also congratulate Scottie Wright on his great amateur halter class with three-year-old stallion ABD Night Time Magic who he owns with wife, Kimberly. Also competing in amateur halter and qualifying for regionals was Steve Harding with his three-year-old stallion AMK Bonito Boy who he owns with fiance Julie Welsand. Student Jeff Wallace showed his QH gelding "Packer" in western pl events placing well in his classes and Chelsea Rayburn was also successful in western pl with her half-Arab gelding "Charger". Congrats to both of these young teams.
The final weekend in Feb found a huge CP team ready for schooling and fun at a local show. The CP group took up both sides of an entire aisle in the main show barn and everyone worked together and supported each other. It was a fun time for everyone and allowed owners and clients to meet one another and match humans to horses. There were such a large number of horse/rider teams and I apologize in advance if anyone is inadvertently left out. There were many awards and prizes won by CP riders and we congratulate everyone on their hard work and efforts. Making us proud were: Angela Nemjo & "Jake", Andrina Hiemann & "Lodi", Jordyn O'Connor with "Pyx", Sam Gilliland & "Newman", Jennifer Backous on "Joyce", Jeff Wallace with "Cyber", Janice Wallace on "Monte", Chrissy Girard on "Chase", Dove Rantala and Sarah Beeks riding Laura Fryburg's "Rom", Lisa Hubbard debuting in halter with "Shahqwave", the Holthe's with "Tenino", Trey McCaige with quot;Shadowfax" and sister Meghan on "Cocomo", Pam Snead & "Mack", Heather & "Powder", Rhonda & "Jasmine" and granddaughter Kailee and her horse. In addition, Tim took several horses and just spent time schooling them in the arena when the show was not in session. Those horses were: "Houston" offered for sale by Kellee Panowicz, "Bailey" owned by the Sproul family, "Ti" owned by Marilou Cassidy, "Bonito Boy" owned by Steve Harding & Julie Welsand. The same weekend as this massive schooling show found CP student Miranda Rickert and her Arabian gelding "Blazer" at their first WAHSET meet as were students Kila Adams with "Dezi" and Brynne Kilgore with "Zan". Show season is definitely upon us!
Congratulations to Janice Wallace on her recent purchase of lovely Appaloosa gelding Zips Promise from Rhonda Carey. Janice is already busy with son Jeff who shows his QH gelding "Packer" and NSH gelding "Cyber". Now it will be mom's turn to hit the show ring as well. We can't wait to watch them together.
Congratulations to youth rider Kila Adams and her half-Arabian gelding Kilas Destiny on earning several year end high point awards from the Southwest Washinton Arabian Association. They won categories including equitation and performance. Congratulations to you both!
Several CP horses and riders headed to NW Equestrian Center in Boring, OR in early January for some pre-season schooling. Several spectators commented favorably on the nice turn out of the CP horses and riders and the judge seemed to appreciate their efforts as well if the placings were anything to go by! Congratulations to Jeff Wallace and his Pinto/NSH gelding "Cyber" on a great day of English including several placings — Jeff is just getting experience with the full bridle and he has some big plans for '07. Jeff then turned around on Sunday with QH gelding "Packer" winning every one of his western classes (pleasure and equitation). Way to go Jeff! Also showing and looking quite impressive was Miranda Rickert with her Arabian gelding "Blazer". They showed in English and came home with several ribbons (blue among them) and for the first time in western as well repeating their prize winning results. We look forward to a big year for them as well. Nicolette Nesbit showed her Arabian mare "Vienna" in English and the pair turned quite a few heads and came away with quite a few prizes. Congratulations to all of you on a job well done.
Congratulations are in order to several CP horses and riders who attended an open show at the Clark County Fairgrounds recently. We are proud of Chelsea Rayburn who earned her first blue! It was in western pleasure with her half-Arab gelding "Charger". Congrats also to Brynne Kilgore who tried out Appaloosa gelding "Monte" and ended up winning the 14-17 high point! Tim then catch rode Kiger mustang stallion "Tenino" for the Holte family and came away with great placings in English as did owner Brian in western. We look forward to having "Tenino" in our barn at the end of February.
