Team CP finished the 2008 Arabian show season in Olympia WA in mid-October for the Pacific Rim show. We took a good sized group and as always had a lot of fun and did a lot of winning and supporting one another. This is always a great place to get novice horses and riders out as well as putting miles on babies and doing some tune ups. Among those making the trip were Twist and Shout FCF++// ridden by Sam Gilliland in JTR, Rachel Wigren in ATR and Emily Hubbard in walk/trot, Comen Mr Dillon who was shown in yearling halter, SF Shahqwave owned by Lisa Hubbard and shown in hunter pleasure, AKMA Dday shown and owned by Barbara Marcinkowski, Natif Californian owned by Terry Rodgers of California, Cindy Ross's horses Qyte Akhemoshun and Echlectic, OFW Ambush shown by sisters Jenna and Robin Becar in halter, western pl, hunter pl and show hack, Color Me Fameous shown by Tim for owners Mark & Laura Fryburg. Congrats to everyone on a job well done and many tack and clothing changes!

Congratulations to a very successful 2008 Sport Horse Nationals for CP. Two year old Arabian colt Khingston owned by Ky Mears came home with a Top Ten in the two year old jackpot while Tim and Rachel's half-Arabian mare Lucky Gold Penny+ was named Reserve Champion in the half-Arabian mares in hand class. Tim showed both horses to their awards. We were also proud to represent Arabian stallion AKMA Dday who showed in hand and under saddle with Tim and his amateur owner Barbara Marcinkowski and ended up 13th in the in hand stallions class. Finally, Arabian gelding OFW Ambush just missed the Top Ten with his junior owner in the amateur show hack class. We are so proud of all of our horses and had a memorable week together in Idaho.
Tim showed two Andalusian horses recently at the NW Andalusian Show here in Ridgefield WA at the end of August. Both horses are owned by Traci Viers and both did exceptionally well in good size classes both in hand as well as under saddle. Stallion Novelisto D won a large show hack class and placed second in movement while three year old mare Deleite AT placed well in dressage suitability and junior hunter pleasure. It was fun to see the majestic Andalusian and half-Andalusians show and we look forward to more successes for Traci and her horses in the future.

Team CP had a successful Region 4 Sport Horse show held at the gorgeous DevonWood Equestrian Facility in Sherwood OR. This is the first year Region 4 has had the sport horse portion of the show seperately and it was successful if warm! Every CP horse came home with a Top 5 and boy are we proud! Congratulations to OFW Ambush owned by Terry & Jennifer Becar on Top 5 honors in Sport Horse In Hand, to AKMA Dday owned by Barbara Marcinkowski on his Top 5 in Sport Horse Under Saddle, and finally to Tim's own mare Lucky Gold Penny on her Top 5 in hand. We feel blessed to represent this amazing group of horses and look forward to this year's Sport Horse Nationals.
Congratulations to Dorothy Murray on the Region 5 Reserve Champion honors earned by her purebred mare DMW Rockets Red Ghlare in the country pleasure futurity with Tim up. We also congratulate Mark & Laura Fryburg whose half-Arabian gelding Color Me Fameous took home Reserve Champion honors in his country pleasure futurity also! We are so proud of both of these outstanding three year olds.
Team CP returned victorious from yet another fun filled and memorable Pinto World Show in Tulsa OK. The three horses and their riders/handlers all made the trip well and showed beautifully. They were also great ambassadors for the saddle and pleasure type pintos and showcased their versatility as well as talents. Following are the results for each horse:
Strikes Cyber Space owned by the Wallace Family
Class Dismissed owned by Angela Burckhard
Splashdown In Color owned by the McCaige Family
Command Performance congratulates Lucky Gold Penny+ on her 2008 Region 5 Top 5 in HA Sport Horse in Hand Mares shown by Tim Wigren.
While the CP Pinto contingency was winning big at Pinto Worlds a small, but mighty group of horses headed to our local fairgrounds for some schooling show fun. Congratulations to Jenna Becar on her Reserve High Point 14-17 with OFW Ambush who showed and won in halter, hunter pleasure, equitation, horsemanship and western pleasure. Sister Robin showed her paint gelding "Casper" in hunter pleasure and equitation then had some fun schooling western with us. Brianna La Roy won with her buckskin QH mare "Belle" as did Sam Gilliland showing her QH gelding "Newman". Finally Rachel did a lap or two with "Buffy". All in all it was a fun day!
Team CP spent Mother's Day weekend at the Region 5 Cascade Youth Benefit Show and everyone had a good time. The horses all did very well and turned in great performances. Congratulations to Brian & Tracey Osborn's gelding Impressively Spotless on a successful sport horse debut (he is also featured on our sale page) and to Dorothy Murray whose purebred mare DMW Rockets RedGhlare made her showring debut in Country Pl Jr Horse. Another first time pair were Tami Todd and her new half-Arabian mare Ms Vanilla Pie showing (and winning) in western pleasure. Congratulations as well to The Becar Family whose gelding OFW Ambush showed his versatility with great placings in open halter (scoring 103), sport horse show hack and open western pleasure. Another big winner was Tim's own half-Arabian mare, Lucky Gold Penny, who won her Sport Horse in hand division (and earned a "10") as well as Most Classic head then went on to earn second in Native Costume (the first time she's ever even worn the costume!). Sport horse stallion Akma D Day, owned by Barbara Marcinkowski, continued to impress in the under saddle and in hand divisions. Amateur rider Lisa Hubbard also continued to impress us as well with her tenacity in the saddle as she and stallion SF Shahqwave continue to learn and grow together. Finally, half-Arabian gelding Color Me Fameous owned by Mark & Laura Fryburg made the trip as well to do a little schooling and get used to the whole show scene. We are proud of everyone and thank you for the opportunity to show off these wonderful horses.
CP horses and riders attended their first Arabian show of the year in early April at the Heritage Show in Spanaway, WA. The sport horse classes were large and the competition stiff! Making her showring debut was Tim's own yearling half-Arabian filly CP Pretty Woman who won the Sport Horse 2 and under class. Her dam, Lucky Gold Penny, was second in a large 3 and over class while purebred stallion Akma D Day owned by Barbara Marcinkowski topped a large 3 and over stallions class as well. What a great start for the sport horses! Akma D Day was also shown in Sport Horse under saddle where he was awarded a fifth in a large 15 horse class. He later went on to earn second in hunter pleasure as well. Congrats to him and his owner. Another purebred stallion, SF Shahqwave, competed in hunter pleasure also with Tim and with owner Lisa Hubbard. He came home with a couple of ribbons in good size classes and some very nice rides. Congrats to him as well and to Lisa for all of her hard work! We are very proud of our CP team.
The same weekend as the Heritage Show also marked the final regular season meet for the Ridgefield High School Eq Team, so Tim (as team performance coach) was busy shuttling back and forth between Spanaway and Olympia. Several CP riders also ride on the team so we send out congratulations to Sam Gilliland and "Cocomo" on winning the saddleseat class and to Sam and Jeff Wallace for earning second in working pairs. Jeff also earned second in saddleseat with "Cyber". Another CP youth rider, Jenna Becar, won the dressage with "Ambush" as well as the working pairs. Trey McCaige also showed and did very well though I'm sorry I don't have his specifics. All of the CP riders will now head to the state meet in mid-May and we wish them all the best!
Team CP members had an eventful first pinto show of the year in Spanaway in mid-April and are all feeling grateful to have made it through! The weather was our first indication of an unusual weekend with snow showers and temps in the 30's. The first day (English) was super successful with horses and riders coming away with wins in many divisions. Saturday was halter and driving day and again the horses who showed were superstars and many Championships were earned. The driving portion, however, changed our outlook on things. The first horse driving class featured 3 CP horses and one other and unfortunately just after the reverse the non-CP horse got spooked and started a chain of events that ended with one of our riders (Angela Nemjo) in the hospital with an ankle broken in two places, Tim with a dislocated knee and road rash and one of the horses, Go Bey Bee Go with several scrapes and cuts and a laceration in need of sutures. Luckily medical staff was there quickly for the humans and horses. The "what if's" were as mind blowing as the acutal events as we all relived the frightening events over the days that followed. Our Team was badly shaken that night and only one of the three carts we brought was operational, but we rallied the following day to finish the show with the western classes. We are so proud of everyone and congratulate all who attended: Angela Nemjo with Go Bey Bee Go, Angela Burckhard and Class Dismissed, Jeffrey Wallace and Strikes Cyber Space, Rachel Wigren showing Twist and Shout FCF++//, Jamie Buckner's horse CA Para Dice Night and John & Trey Mc Caige with Splashdown in Color.
**An update on Angela Nemjo and Go Bey Bee Go**
Angela had surgery the day after the accident and has her ankle bolted together. In addition, her
other leg was badly sprained and her body is a rainbow of bruises. She is at home and being cared for
by husband, Jason. It will be at least three months until she's back to normal function and she won't
be able to return to work before early June. Her gelding, "Jake" handled the whole thing
like a trooper! He got immediate care and attention from other people at the show and the vet was on
scene within 30 minutes. He's missing a small semi-circle from his lower lip which just gives him more
character! His front left leg sustained the worst damage with a "V' shaped laceration that needed
sutures and an assortment of other cuts and scrapes. He came out with only one of four shoes left and
both back legs had deep abrasions. He's received follow up care from his regular vet at home and will
undergo an ultrasound of the left front leg as well as chiropractic care before being cleared to return
to work. We hope to see both Angela and "Jake" in the ring again late this year! Thanks to
everyone who offered support to us all at the show and since.
Congratulations to Renee Senter and family of Centrailia WA on their purchase of the gorgeous half-Arabian/pinto mare SC Raydeant Hope. They plan to spend some time getting to know "Hope" and eventually may hit the show ring with her. No matter what we wish them all the best and many happy years together.
Yet another strong CP contingent was back at MHEC in Boring OR for schooling and fun in mid-February. Once again we had new horses and riders as well as experienced pairs just tuning up for '08. First we congratulate some first time drivers - Tabitha Ritzer with her appaloosa mare My Wildest Fantasea as well as Patty Chapman with her pinto mare PF Eds Elegant Lady. Joining them was John McCaige with Splashdown in Color who earned champion honors on Sunday and Jeffrey Wallace with Strikes Cyber Space who claimed the title on Saturday. Most important was that everyone had fun and did very well! The driving horses weren't the only ones doing us proud though. We also had great shows from the Sproul's morgan gelding Altaire's Irish Mint, from Lisa Hubbard riding Arabian stallion SF Shahqwave, from youth rider Brianna LaRoy with QH mare Yellowstone Belle, and from Cindy Ross's Arabian gelding Echlectic. Finally Rachel got out there at last with Twist and Shout FCF++// and Jeffrey Wallace stayed busy in addition to driving with geldings "Monte" & "Paker" (so sorry I forgot their registered names!). Needless to say we were busy, but had a great time. Congrats to everyone!
Team CP got off to a great start in 2008 attending a schooling show at Mt. Hood Equestrian Center in Boring, Oregon. Patty Chapman's mare PF Ed's Elegant Lady made her showring debut in driving with Sam Gilliland in youth and Tim Wigren in open. Also driving was Jeff Wallace showing his gelding Strike's Cyberspace. Youth riders Jenna and Robin Becar were in attendance as well. Robin showed her paint gelding "Casper" in English pleasure while Jenna showed Rachel Wigren's mare SC Raydeant Hope in English and western. Brianna LaRoy also came along with buckskin QH mare "Belle" and earned blue in two of her classes. Rounding out the group was Trey McCaige showing his pinto gelding "Splash". Everyone did great and had fun too! What a great way to start the year!
Congrats to Twist and Shout FCF++// owned by Rachel Wigren on receiving first place honors in the Pinto Horse Assn year end awards in Disciplined Rail Western - Breeding Stock.
Congratulations to Angela Burckhard and her saddle type gelding Class Dismissed on their recent Horse of the Year titles in Open Ideal Driving Horse, Saddle Type English Horse and Pleasure Driving Horse. These titles were awarded the the Pinto Horse Association.
