The pintos of Team CP finished the 2009 show season with a bang at the OPtHA Spooktacular show in Boring, OR. Many came away with great placings in large classes in addition to countless champion and reserve champion honors. Congratulations to Angela Nemjo with her pleasure type gelding Go Bey Bee Go as well as to Patti Griggs who showed her stock type mare Barlink Fleets Angel. We also congratulate Robin Becar on her successes with pleasure type gelding Champagne Pfizzz and to Traci Nelson on a great show by pony stallion TLPEYEMPAYTONAMOON. Rounding out the quintet was saddle type stallion CA Para Dice Nite who is owned by Deb Paske and Jaime Buckner. Congratulations to all of you and we look forward to your continued successes in 2010!

CP congratulates two young ladies who headed out on their own to attend a local dressage show the first weekend of October. While Tim was busy judging an open show, Sam Gilliland and Jenna Becar took their geldings New Man On The Block and OFW Ambush to the Ft Vancouver Dressage Show. This was the first time either pair had attended a dressage only show, though Jenna and OFW Ambush have shown dressage at some Arabian shows. For Sam and "Newman" it was their first time and they did very well! Both pairs worked hard and worked together for successful tests and good times. We are proud of their efforts!

It was another strong showing by the pinto horses of CP at the August CPtHA show in Spanaway mid-month. Congrats to Angela Nemjo and pleasure type gelding Go Bey Bee Go on their high point award as well as on many, many wins and other great placings in halter, English, show hack, driving and western ("Jake" is such a diverse horse!). Congrats also to Jaime Buckner and Deb Paske on the Champion and Reserve Champion honors won by saddle type stallion CA Para Dice Nite as well as on a good driving class. Finally, junior horse Champagne Pfizzz (owned by Robin Becar) made his pinto debut and placed first and second in his Eng Pl class as well as doing very well in halter. Congrats to all and we look forward to more successes in the future.
The 2009 Region 5 Championship show brought some wonderful rides and shows for CP horses and riders. They all showed beautifully and made us proud. Congratulations to:
We also want to recognize SF Shahqwave who competed well in very nice hunter pleasure and show hack classes for his first year.
It was a dynamic duo that headed north to Langely, BC, and boy did they do us proud once again! Congratulations to:

Once again Team CP had a super successful Pinto World Show in Tulsa OK. The two Angelas (Burckhard and Nemjo) made the trip and both came home with quite the haul! Unfortunately Splashdown in Color who is owned by the McCaige family suffered an injury and was unable to compete. Thankfully he is healing really well and will be back in the ring soon.

May ended with lots of great performances by the horses and handlers of CP. The weekend was beautiful and the Donida Farms setting with Mt.Rainier looking over us couldn't have been prettier. Great successes were had by OFW Ambush with owner/rider Jenna Becar who earned Top 5 placings in first level dressage as well as sport horse under saddle JTR. Barbara Marcinkowski also earned Top 5 honors with her stallion AKMA Dday in the ATH in hand division. Finally Tim's mare Lucky Gold Penny+ brought home Top 5's in the in hand division with Tim in open and client Lisa Hubbard in ATH. Congrats to all!
June started with success at the Mid-Summer Classic Charity Show held in Monroe WA. SF Shahqwave, owned by Lisa Hubbard, turned in some pretty hunter pleasure and show hack rides. The Becar Family was busy once again with Jenna showing OFW Ambush in hunter pleasure, show hack and halter and sister Robin showing her half-Arabian, Champagne Pfizzz, in halter while Tim showed him in the junior horse Country pleasure class. Both sisters came home with armloads of ribbons! Robin also showed Tanner Wigren's mare, Canada Girl, in equitation, country pleasure, and costume so she was a busy young lady! Youth rider Sam Gilliland was busy with Twist and Shout FCF++// coming home with awards in showmanship, horsemanship and western pleasure. Another youth rider, Lexus Ford, joined us with gelding Foolish Fyre and turned in some lovely western pleasure rides - she has quite a future! Unfortunately her aunt, Cindy Hansen, was unable to ride due to an injury sustained by Cindy's mount FS Nite Kazanova. We wish them a speedy recovery.
The pintos of Command Performance made quite a splash at their first breed show of the year in mid-April in Spanaway WA. Unfortunately Class Dismissed and Angela Burckhard were sidelined due to an injury but we hope to have them back with us soon. Angela Nemjo and her lovely pleasure type gelding Go Bey Bee Go started the year with an impressive showing in English Pleasure, Show Hack, Halter, Driving, and Western. Jake completed his ROM in Ideal Driving as well as his ROE in English Pleasure - his credentials are impressive indeed! He won under most of the six judges and also earned 5 Grand Champions in halter. John McCaige II competed in driving and halter on Saturday, but he too left his mark with saddlebred gelding Splashdown In Color (who is currently offered for sale). Unbeknownst to John, his efforts earned him a Reserve hi-point award! He also earned a Top Five hi-point in the saddle type division as well as placing very well in the classes he entered. Congratulations to both of these talented geldings and their owners. We're proud to have you as part of our team.
Three CP horses made the trek north to lovely Langley BC at the end of April for the AAHABC show and everyone who attended qualified for Region 17 as we had hoped. It's always fun to show in Canada as the people are friendly and the facility is lovely not to mention Rachel has family in the area so we manage to have some personal time as well. Congratulations to AKMA Dday owned by Barbara Marcinkowski on a great first dressage test after many, many years and to rider Tim Wigren who returns to the dressage ring after 25 years as well! Dday was also successful in the in hand division with both Tim and Barbara and placed well in a large novice hunter class as well as turning in lovely sport horse under saddle and sport horse show hack rides. Another star for CP was Color Me Fameous owned by Mark & Laura Fryburg who won the country pleasure driving class as well as the championship country pleasure and placed well in halter. Rounding out the trio was Twist and Shout FCF++// who was shown by youth rider Sam Gilliland and qualified in western pleasure, showmanship and horsemanship. Congratulations to everyone, eh!
While we were in Canada, dear friends and clients Terry Becar and Shane Maupin tied the knot! We congratulate them and wish them a lifetime of happiness and laughter.
Mother's Day weekend found the CP in Spanaway WA for the Cascade show having fun and winning plenty. The Mother's Day leadline class was the biggest of the entire show and all the "moms" of CP turned out to participate with their "kids" on the lines. Terry Becar was led on OFW Ambush by daughters Robin & Jenna, Rachel borrowed friend Cindy's horse FS Nite Kazanova and was led by Tanner, Lisa Hubbard borrowed Tim's mare Lucky Gold Penny for daughter Emily to lead, Barbara Marcinkowski rode her AKMA Dday led by daughter Amanda, Cindy Hansen rode Foolish Fyre with niece Lexus Ford in the lead and Tim led his mother-in-law Kit Jacobi on Canada Girl. There was lots of laughter and giggles from the whole group! Needless to say the horses were busy before and after the leadline also! We congratulate first timer Lexus Ford who showed Foolish Fyre very successfully in western pleasure as well as her aunt Cindy Hansen who did well with FS Nite Kazanova in western pleasure also after many years out of the arena. The CP two year olds were also successful with CP Pretty Woman winning the 2 & Under sport horse in hand class and Comen Mr Dillon winning the half-arabian gelding halter class as well as most classic head. Another successful duo was Tim with his Lucky Gold Penny winning both her sport horse in hand class as well as the open show hack while Lisa Hubbard was also successful in the ATH division (since her stallion SF Shahqwave was on injured reserve). Barbara Marcinkowski's AKMA Dday continued to do well in dressage and sport horse (in hand and under saddle) adding more accomplishments to his record. Robin Becar's gelding Champagne Pfizzz was on the injured reserve list so she showed Canada Girl to great placings in equitation and country pleasure. The busy boy of the show was OFW Ambush shown by owner Jenna Becar. He debuted in native costume (and boy what a debut!) as well as competing very successfully in dressage, sport horse in hand, sport horse under saddle, sport horse show hack, hunter pleasure, equitation and main ring halter. WHEW! Needless to say he's a talented horse and Jenna is quite a rider! Congratulations to everyone on a fun and successful show with the best part being that we were all home early enough on Sunday to enjoy some Mother's Day sunshine and the two horses who couldn't make it are all healed up and back to work.

Team CP began the Arabian show season with a wonderful Heritage show the first weekend of April in Spanaway WA. The weather even cooperated with temperatures in the 60's for the weekend and plenty of sunshine. Jenna Becar was busy with her purebred gelding OFW Ambush competing in dressage, sport horse in hand, sport horse under saddle, sport horse show hack, halter, hunter pleasure equitation and western pleasure! The duo did a wonderful job and came away with several high placings (including many blues) and lots of great performances. Her sister, Robin, made her show ring debut with her half-Arabian pinto gelding Champagne Pfizzz who at four had never been shown. Robin did a terrific job in the halter ring then Tim showed the big pinto in the country pl junior horse class where he showed moments of brilliance. Tim was also busy with another junior horse - Color Me Fameous owned by Mark & Laura Fryburg who made his driving debut beautifully as well as winning the half-Arabian geldings halter class unanimously. Finally Tim showed Lisa Hubbard's stallion SF Shahqwave in hunter pleasure where he turned in lovely rides placing well in large classes as well as in show hack where he competed for the first time, but definitely not the last. Congratulations to everyone on a job well done and we look forward to sharing more successes in the coming months.
Congratulations also to Tanner Wigren on his new mare who will also be used around the barn for lessons. Her name is Canada Girl and we thank Irwin Schimmel for the opportunity to add "Victoria" to our family.
